Da Vinci Code # 1 at the box office
No surprise, The Da Vinci Code was the number one movie this weekend earning $77 million (better than Mission Impossible's opening weekend). Despite bad reviews from critics, moviegoers flocked to see if the movie was as good as the book (it wasn't).
Dreamworks' Over the Hedge debuted in second place with a respectable $37 million although not as good as previous Dreamworks hits. Mi3 finally hit the $100 million after three weeks but is still way below its over $150 million budget.

I was hoping against hope that "Da Vinci" would tank at the box office, but I guess everyone loves controversy .. I chose "Over the Hedge" instead and found it to be surprisingly intelligent and very, very funny
