Ice Age 2 # 1 at the movies

"Ice Age 2" rocked the box office with over $70 million* this weekend. Even though the script was sub-par (from what I've heard), families are starving for child-friendly entertainment and there's only so many times one can see the same movie over and over again (like "The Shaggy Dog").

2. Inside Man - $15.7 million
3. ATL - $12.5 million - TI's debut not bad at #3
4. Failure to Launch - $6.6 million
5. V for Vendetta - $6.5 million

Missing from the Top 5 - "Basic Instinct 2"- not surprising.
